A Word from the President
Our artist bees at the Art League have been busy making needed upgrades to our beautiful building! Several outside projects have been completed, including painting the building and hauling away the damaged trees from last month's storm.
Inside improvements include installing new lighting in the gallery, putting in new window shades and painting the walls of several rooms. We also have new flooring in some of the rooms, additional hangers to display more art and some pieces of furniture have been refinished.
Our members are very pleased with the new window, which connects the kitchen and the serving room. This saves our workers time and extra work.
We especially want to thank Jim, who directed the work and did much of the work himself.
Please drop by on a Wednesday or Saturday morning to see all of the wonderful improvements.
These improvements were possible because of the generosity of donations from our members, the general public and the families of the late Paul Carlson and the late Francine Sinsabaugh. We also appreciate the contributions of the Illinois Arts Council.
